CoCo's is something that should be eaten at every opportunity. Service at this location is always prompt and professional, ordering streamlined so you can order in any country. The price is affordable and their entrees are such a comfort food no matter where you are in the world. I never went to a CoCo's I didn't love.

Apparently this is the Japanese equivalent of a fast food joint, but instead of burgers,. It serves Japanese curry. The katsu chicken was super crispy and yummy. Prices were reasonable. Will come back!

Great place! Very tasty and well balanced curry. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice decor. Expect to wait a while. Tap water tastes awful.

Pleasant surprise First time trying Japanese curry and it was really unique, comforting and delicious. The portion of food is very adequate. The food and the waiters are exceptional The chef was rather rude in the open kitchen, who asked us to wait outside in the cold but the head waiter quickly corrected this.In summary, decor nice, food delicious (but wish they fried there chicken and pork in separate friers, to cater for halal/ kosher traditions). All in all would come here again!

I haven't been to Coco Ichibanya since 2013 - in Kamata, Tokyo! Took me right back, amazing curry. Loved every bit of it. Staff are super friendly too!

The food here is amazing. Having been to Coco Ichibanya in Japan, I was not expecting the food to be of the same quality, but it was. Crispy golden chicken in delicious creamy curry. Note that this isn't really a Katsu Curry. It has it's own unique flavour. It's creamy and can be spicier if you want it to be (spice goes from 1-5 in London, but 1-10 in Japan). The spice in the London branch isn't too bad (even the max level), but the ones in Japan are much spicier. The decor in the London is also different to the Japanese restaurants. It much more modern. The ones in Japan have a slightly dated interior having been around since the 1980s, however, I feel that this old style really adds to its charm. Also, every single restaurant in Japan plays this kind of easy-listening jazz music, that gives it a very relaxing feel. Also, one other thing, don't be put off if you see cheese in the curry sauce on the menu. Try it, it's amazing. Can't wait for this place to reopen.

Questions & Answers

Yes, a trough in the back.

About what you'd expect for the area. Maybe $11-$15 per adult entree. A bit less for the kids. The menu is here https://ichibanyausa.com/menu-1

Try the katsu curry. It's a staple.

Was there just on Friday. They don't split checks anymore. They can make separate transactions for each person at the table, but you have to let them know BEFORE you order.

I think a more appropriate answer would be - because things are better with gravy all over.

This is not correct. We just looked at the ingredient list on the curry and it most definitely has milk in it. That does not count as dairy free.
